General:
Gate Access:
To ensure the safety and privacy of all guests, the main gate closes at 22:00 PM and reopens at 06:00 AM the following morning. If you wish to enjoy dinner in town, please plan accordingly.Booking Confirmation:
Entry to Berendina Wildsplaas is strictly limited to guests with confirmed bookings. We kindly ask that you have your booking details available upon arrival.Sustainability:
Berendina Wildsplaas operates entirely on solar power. During the winter months, we ask that guests limit the use of heaters and electric blankets. The lodge is equipped with multiple fireplaces for your comfort and warmth.
Accommodation:
Check-Out Time:
To ensure the smooth transition for incoming guests, we request that all guests vacate the premises by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.Deposit Requirement:
A 50% deposit of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm your booking. This deposit secures your reservation and is necessary to finalize the booking process.Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made more than one month prior to the booking date will incur a 30% cancellation fee. Bookings canceled within one month of the arrival date are non-refundable. We recommend finalizing your travel plans well in advance to avoid cancellation fees.Check-In Procedure:
To provide you with the best possible service, please inform the owners of your estimated arrival time in advance. This allows us to prepare for your arrival and ensure a seamless check-in experience.
Hunting:
Carcass Handling:
Berendina Wildsplaas provides skinning and cleaning services for all harvested game. Should the hunter request alternative methods, they do so at their own risk and Berendina Wildsplaas cannot be held liable for any resulting consequences.Carcass Transport and Packaging:
The responsibility for packaging and transporting carcasses lies with the hunter.Hunting Vehicles:
Personal vehicles are not permitted for this purpose; please make prior arrangements with management to ensure proper handling and transport.
Trophy Fees:
Trophy fees are due upon the completion of your safari.Wounded Game:
Please note that any wounded or lost animals, as well as any incidental or accidental shots, must be paid for in full. If a Professional Hunter determines that an animal has been wounded, indicated by the sight of blood, bone, hair, or other fluids, it will be considered hunted. Refunds will not be issued for wounded game.Animal Availability:
All hunts are subject to the availability of game, which may be affected by factors such as drought or other environmental conditions.
Payment:
Account Settlement:
Guests are required to settle their accounts in full before departure. No guest will be permitted to leave the premises until all outstanding balances have been paid.Invoice Issuance:
Please ensure that the correct details are provided for invoicing purposes, as only one invoice will be issued per visit. Multiple invoices for the same booking will not be accommodated.VAT on EFT Payments:
Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable on all Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. Please account for this when making your payment.Accommodation Payment:
Accommodation fees must be paid via EFT. Cash payments are not accepted.Hunting Package Payments:
Payments for hunting packages must be made in a single transaction. If not all animals included in the package are hunted, standard pricing may still apply.
